Working with Those New to Estate
Planning and Elder Care Challenges

I attended Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon and moved to Philadelphia after I graduated in May 2006. My husband and I were drawn to Philadelphia’s history, diversity, and culture. After giving birth to my son in December 2006, I knew that working at a big law firm wasn’t for me and decided to found my own practice.
Much of my estate planning practice is developing estate plans for people who haven’t created them before, such as new parents who want to make sure that their spouses and children are provided for. I also work with elderly people and their families, helping them voice their treatment preferences, access government long-term care benefits, and intervene to care for family members.
I am a member of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and American Bar Associations and serve as the Web Liaison for the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Real Property, Probate, and Trust Section. I also am a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Elder Law Section Guardianship Manual Committee.
I enjoy being active in my community. I provide free legal services to people in need through Philadelphia VIP and the Senior Law Center. I belong to the Parents' Committee at my son’s day care and am the chorister for my church.
